Pastor Mark was saved at the age of 13 in Tucson, Arizona and felt the call into ministry at the age of 15. At that time he preached his first sermon at a Wednesday night service; he taught all he knew in 5 minutes.  Since then he has served in almost every position in the church.  He has a passion to see the lost saved, the sick and wounded healed, those in bondage set free, and the body of Christ fully equip to perform the Great Commission.

Pastor Mark has earned his Master’s Degree in Divinity through Piedmont International University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from New Mexico State University. He is an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God, Cleveland Tennessee.

Currently, he is serving as the chairman of the Midlands Region State Board and the Evangelism Director. He has served on the State Youth Board in New Mexico and the Midlands Region. My wife and I have served at 3 churches as Senior Pastors in New Mexico and here at Valley Junction in West Des Moines, IA.

My wife and I of 26 years met in Tucson, Arizona and they have three children: Lindsey, Jessica, and Jared.  Pastor Mark enjoys fishing, shooting, and watching football. His favorite football team is the Dallas Cowboys. Pastor Mark’s wife Angie is an vital part of their ministry, as she leads worship, overseeing the women ministry, and the youth/children's ministry. She is also pursuing a Master’s Degree in Family Therapy through Capella University and will graduate this year.
